A persistent realtime 4X

The world doesn't pause.

Found a realm in a shared world that runs around the clock. Raise armies, fight rivals human and AI, and hold your ground. When the round's clock runs out, whoever holds the most land wins.

How it works

You fight your own battles. Almost everything else can be handed off.

Real battles

Armies deploy in formation on a tactical field. Terrain, facing, and doctrine decide the fight, not a dice roll. A better general beats a bigger army.

It keeps running

The world ticks day and night. AI factions expand, trade, and go to war on their own. Log in to the war you started yesterday and see how it went.

Your steward covers for you

Log off and an AI steward runs your realm. You can lose border ground overnight. You can't lose your capital in your sleep.

Rounds, won on the map

A round runs about a week. When the clock runs out, the realm holding the most territory wins, and a fresh world begins.

From the current build

Straight from the alpha client.

Terregnum alpha client: the hex strategic map around a player's capital, with the realm-clock event log and city production panel open.
Terregnum alpha client: a five-way tactical battle — five armies' banners across the header, longbow volleys arcing between engaged lines on three fronts.
Terregnum alpha client: a close-up of a city's keep tile with its structures and recruitment queue in the production panel.

Take a seat at the table

Sign in with Discord, Google, or an email. Join the round in progress, or grab a place in the lobby before the next world spawns. It's free, it's alpha, and it breaks sometimes.

Follow the build

Terregnum is built in the open. Round announcements, patch notes, and the developer are all in the Discord.
